Privacy Policy

pdf2fill is a free online PDF filler. The short version of this policy: we don't collect your files, we don't require an account, and we don't sell data. The longer version is below.

Your PDF files

When you upload a PDF to pdf2fill, the file is sent to our server to detect form fields — blank lines, checkboxes, and text areas. That detection happens in memory. Once the response is sent back to your browser, the file is discarded. We do not save, copy, or store your PDF anywhere. There is no file archive, no cloud storage bucket, and no way for us to retrieve your document after you close the page.

The filled-in PDF you download at the end is assembled in your browser. The text you type into the form fields does not leave your device.

No account, no personal information

You don't need to create an account to use pdf2fill. We don't ask for your name, email address, or any other personal information. There is no sign-up form and no login. If you've used the tool, we have no way to identify you or contact you afterward.

Cookies and tracking

pdf2fill does not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or fingerprinting scripts. We don't run Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel. If we add basic, privacy-respecting analytics in the future (page views, device type — nothing personally identifiable), we'll update this page first.

Server logs

Our hosting provider (Google Cloud Run) automatically generates server access logs. These logs may include your IP address, the time of the request, and which page you visited. This is standard for every website you visit. We do not cross-reference these logs with any other data, and they are not used for advertising or profiling. Logs are retained according to Google Cloud's default retention policy and are only reviewed if we need to debug a technical issue.

Third-party services

We load fonts from Google Fonts. Google may collect anonymized usage data through font requests — this is covered by Google's privacy policy. Beyond that, pdf2fill does not embed third-party scripts, ad networks, social media widgets, or external analytics tools.

Data security

All connections to pdf2fill use HTTPS, so data in transit between your browser and our server is encrypted. Since we don't store your files or personal information, there is no database of user data that could be breached. The attack surface is small by design: we keep as little data as possible because that's the best way to protect it.

Children's privacy

pdf2fill does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Since we don't collect personal data from any user, there is nothing to delete. If you believe we've inadvertently collected information from a child, contact us and we'll address it immediately.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and note the date at the top. We're a small tool with a simple purpose, so changes here should be rare.
